Autumn is my personal favorite. September still has lingering summer heat but fewer crowds. October sees a surge during National Day holiday (Oct 1–7)—avoid at all costs. Winter (December–February)
Winter is cool and quiet. December to February sees temperatures around 12–18°C (54–64°F). Some outdoor water rides may close for maintenance, but the indoor exhibits remain open. February can be busy due to Chinese New Year (dates vary). If you're okay with cooler weather, January is the cheapest month—hotels are half price. Best Time of Day
Plan to enter the park as early as possible—by 10 AM at the latest. The first two hours (10:00–12:00) are the least crowded because many tourists are still arriving or having breakfast. I always tell my groups: “Get the two big animal shows out of the way before lunch.” After 1 PM, queues for popular rides like the roller coaster can hit 60 minutes.
