Peng Gao graduated from Xinjiang University’s Geography and Outdoor Leadership program and is a Certified Senior Tour Guide and Desert Expedition Leader based in Urumqi, with over 12 years of guiding experience across Northwest China’s rugged terrains, Islamic markets, and diverse ethnic gastronomy. He specializes in a 5-day Gurbantünggüt Desert expedition (camel caravan trek, dune night camping, navigation by GPS and sun compass), a 3-day Urumqi bazaar and lamb feast crawl (International Grand Bazaar, Erdaoqiao Market, whole lamb roast and pilaf tasting, spice haggling), a 4-day Heavenly Lake of Tianshan and Kazakh homestay adventure (horseback riding, eagle hunter village visit, dairy-based nomadic cuisine), and a 2-day Turpan oasis extreme climate tour (Flaming Mountains, Karez irrigation system, grape valley market).

Holding national senior certification and certified as a desert wilderness first responder, he has led hundreds of international travelers safely through shifting dunes, high-altitude grasslands, and bustling Uyghur market alleys.
