Shenzhen Bay Park

As someone who loves birdwatching, this park is a hidden gem. Spotted herons, egrets, and even a kingfisher right near the mangrove section. The elevated boardwalk lets you get pretty close without disturbing them - definitely bring binoculars. The park is huge too, with plenty of shade and spots to sit. I came back twice in the same week.

Went for the night lights and wasn't disappointed. The buildings across the bay put on a proper light show, all glittering and reflecting on the water. You can walk along the path for ages and every angle gives you a different shot. There were even a couple of food trucks near the entrance, which was a nice surprise. Highly recommended.

Caught sunrise here and I genuinely got chills. The sky went from deep blue to orange and pink over the bay, and the bridges looked like they were floating in the morning mist. There are plenty of benches to just sit and watch everything wake up. Easily the best free thing I've done in Shenzhen - absolutely recommend.
