Jin Mao Tower

I was blown away by the sheer scale of this building – you don't realize how tall it is until you're inside looking up at the atrium from the ground floor. The observatory is fantastic and the glass skywalk gave me the biggest adrenaline rush of my trip. The staff helped me take a panorama pic and even pointed out which landmarks to look for. Bonus: the bathrooms up there are super clean and the whole facility is well-maintained. I went on a weekday morning and it was almost empty – pure bliss. Already planning to come back with my family!

Hands down the best observation deck in Shanghai! I've been up the Pearl Tower and Shanghai Tower too, but Jin Mao has a special charm – it's slightly lower so you can actually see details like the Huangpu River boats and people walking on the Bund. The indoor viewing area is spacious and they have those little telescopes that work great. I loved the small souvenir shop and the café up there – had a surprisingly good latte while watching the city. If you go, book the sunset slot online in advance to skip the line. 10/10 would recommend!
