How to Get to the Island (Without Getting Lost)
The ferry departs from Wuzhizhou Island Pier (蜈支洲岛码头). English address for taxi/didi: Wuzhizhou Island Pier, Haitang Bay, Sanya, Hainan. Show this to your driver.
From Sanya city center (Dadonghai), a taxi costs about ¥120 and takes 45 minutes. If you're staying at Haitang Bay, it's only 15 minutes (¥30). Do not take the local bus — it stops 2 km from the pier and you'll have to walk in the heat.
For DiDi (Chinese Uber), search for “蜈支洲岛码头”. GPS works fine here. Remind the driver to drop you at the ticket hall, not the parking lot — it's a 10-minute walk.
