Our family trip to Sanya was unforgettable. The kids loved the water park at Atlantis, and my wife and I enjoyed the peaceful walks along the beach at sunrise. The food scene is incredible — don’t miss the Hainanese chicken rice at a local hole-in-the-wall. Everything was clean, safe, and well-organized. Can’t wait to come back!
Sanya exceeded my expectations in many ways. We spent most of our time at Dadonghai and the water was warm and inviting. The only downside was the humidity — it can get intense. But the cocktails by the pool and the sunset views more than made up for it. Solid 4-star experience, would come again.
What a gem! I visited Sanya for a solo trip and felt completely relaxed. The night markets are vibrant, the coconut rice is to die for, and I even took a surfing lesson at Houhai — the waves were perfect for beginners. Everyone I met was warm and helpful. Highly recommend for anyone looking to escape the cold and recharge.
Had a decent time in Sanya but honestly expected a bit more. The hotel was clean and the staff were friendly, but the prices for almost everything felt inflated — especially the taxi fares and some touristy restaurants. The beaches are nice but crowded in the afternoon. If you’re on a budget, be prepared to spend more than you planned. Not bad, but not mind-blowing either.
Sanya is absolutely stunning! The beaches are pristine, the water is crystal clear, and the weather was perfect during our stay in January. We stayed at a resort near Yalong Bay, and the staff went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. The local seafood market was a blast — we picked fresh lobster and had it grilled right there. Already planning my return trip!
Came for the diving, stayed for the vibe. The coral reefs near Yalong Bay are well-preserved and the dive instructors were patient and professional. Even my wife, a beginner, felt safe and had a blast. The night market had great street food — try the grilled squid! Only tiny downside: some areas felt a bit too touristy, but that’s expected. Highly recommended for water lovers.
