Badaguan Scenic Area

Hands down the most charming area in Qingdao. My wife and I rented bikes and rode along the coastal path – the views of the bay are breathtaking. We stopped for coffee at a little café inside a restored German building. The vibe is so relaxed and romantic. Every street feels different: one lined with ginkgo trees, another with roses climbing over walls. Perfect for couples or solo travelers who appreciate beauty. Can’t recommend enough.

A paradise for photographers! The combination of old villas, pine trees, and the sea creates endless composition opportunities. I arrived at sunrise to avoid crowds and caught the soft light hitting the Spanish-style Casa on a cliff – magical. The best part? No entrance fee! Just walk in and enjoy. One tip: wear comfortable shoes because you’ll want to explore every small lane. Five stars without hesitation.
