East Lake Scenic Area

One of the best scenic spots I've visited in this region! The combination of the vast lake, surrounding hills, and meticulously kept gardens is incredible. We took the electric boat tour and the guide shared fascinating local legends. The lotus pond in July was bursting with color. Everything felt well-organized and the staff were friendly. A solid 5-star experience — don't miss the sunset viewpoint near the western pier!

Had high hopes but left a bit disappointed. The main lake view is nice, but the 'scenic area' feels more like a park with some overgrown paths. I was expecting more variety in the landscape — most of the trail just looks the same. There was also a lot of litter near the picnic spots, and we saw only one trash bin the whole time. Might be better if you come during a festival or event, but for a regular visit it's just okay.

Pretty good overall but not without its flaws. The lake itself is beautiful and the walking paths are well-maintained. However, the map at the entrance was confusing, and a few signposts along the way were missing, so we ended up taking a longer loop than intended. Also, the café near the dock charged way too much for a bottle of water. Good for a day trip, but manage your expectations on the amenities.

What a peaceful escape from the city! I came here early on a weekday and practically had the place to myself. The cherry blossoms near the east entrance were just starting to bloom, and the soft pink against the blue water was picture-perfect. I sat on a bench for an hour just watching the birds. If you're looking for a quiet spot to reset, this is it. Will definitely come back in autumn.

Highly recommend renting a bike to cover more ground — totally worth every penny.

Came for sunrise and it was totally worth the early wake-up. The mist over the water with the first light hitting the pagodas is something I'll never forget. Few tourists at that hour, so it felt very private and serene. Perfect spot for photography or just quiet reflection.

Had an amazing day out with the family. The boat ride was the highlight – so relaxing and the views are postcard-worthy. The kids loved feeding the ducks near the pier. Everything was clean and well-maintained. Highly recommend for a nature escape.

What a gem! I came here after reading some reviews and it exceeded every expectation. The combination of ancient bridges, weeping willows, and crystal-clear water is like walking into a painting. We arrived around 3pm, and the golden hour light made everything glow. There's a lovely little tea house near the south gate where we had jasmine tea overlooking the lake — pure bliss. No hesitation giving this five stars.

I rented a paddleboat and glided around the little islands, which was super peaceful. The staff were friendly and helpful, and the whole area is kept incredibly clean.
